I love this quote because I believe it is so true.
I have used this quote in several tarot counseling sessions because it fits so well in many situations.
Most of us hold on to the past so fiercely that we don’t have room or energy to plant and foster the new seeds we so desperately want.
I explain it like this: if you want to grow a new vegetable in your garden, you first have to pull up all the old stuff to make room for the new.
I believe that we, humans, work like this too…we only have so much mental and emotional capacity within us that it is necessary to go through our “gardens” (thoughts/beliefs) and let what is not serving us, die.
